Foreslår at mBio (et tidsskrift fra American Society for Microbiology, ASM) skal endres fra nivå 1 til nivå 2. mBio er et open-access tidsskrift innen generell mikrobiologi som tar inn artikler fra ulike underdisipliner. Det har i de senere årene, siden oppstarten i 2010, blitt stadig mer populært med høyere nivå på artiklene (noe som delvis har vært på bekostning av andre ASM søstertidsskifter som Journal of Bacteriology og Applied and Environmental Microbiology). En utgivelse per måned, med ca. 10 forskninsartikler + 1-2 reviewartikler per utgave. Journal impact factor: 6.747.

Jeg mener at mBio er et høy ansett tidsskrift innen mikrobiologi og bør være et nivå 2 tidsskrift.

research scientists. It strives to publish the best research in microbiology and allied fields. mBio publishes outstanding papers in all
disciplines that address microbiological problems, including, but
not limited to, biochemistry and molecular biology, genetics and
genomics, environmental science, evolution, immunology, infectious disease, and physiology. Topics covered include bacteria,
viruses, parasites, fungi, and simple eukaryotic organisms, as well
as all types of host-microbe interactions."
