Suggest publication channels for level 1
The indexed publication channels in the Norwegian Register is based on suggestions from scholars and others affiliated with the research community in Norway and Scandinavia.
How to suggest a publication channel for level 1
To suggest a new publication channel for level 1, you must first log in to The Norwegian Register.
1. Register a new publication channel.
Complete the application form with as much information and documentation as possible.
2. Send in the application form by pressing “Save”.
We will receive the suggestion at our list over new suggestions and will consider it continuously.
3. The suggestion will be approved or not approved at a decision meeting.
The suggested publication channel will get its own information page in The Norwegian Register and you will be able to find it in The Norwegian Register.
My suggestion was not approved - what should I do?
You can complain at the decision or send in your suggestion as a new application. Remember to add documentation on the information that we missed, or we considered deficient.
At the next decision meeting we will consider your complaint or your new application. The final deadline for the current year is 30. November, and applies if you want to be credited for your contribution for the current year.
The publication channel did have level 1, but is now downgraded
At the decision meetings we often reconsider publication channels that until now have been approved as academic publication channels. We reconsider them because we have received worries about the academic quality of the published material or the editorial routines, or we might have received new information about the publication channel.
If we decide that the publication channel should be downgraded, level 0 will apply from next year.
