Dear all,
I have been reviewer of this journal, as well as being author, and guest editor for a special issue within my field of research. I am aware that there may have been some problems in the past, but my experience is that the journal now is a respected journal within my area of research. I therefore think Land should be considered a Level 1 journal.

We will keep the journal at level X for now. We will do a new consideration of the journal at the decision meeting in January.

I served as a reviewer of this journal. The manuscript was flawed with methodological problems and I recommended against considering it. However, the editor ignored my recommendation and accepted the manuscript for publication. It is hard to accept that Sustainability is considered a Level X outlet while Land is Level 1! I do not believe that Land should be considered a Level 1 journal.

We discussed the journal at the decision meeting and decided that it will keep level 1 for now. However, as soon as the new committee for earth sciences is in place, we will ask them to evaluate the journal.
