I vår avsløring av kinesiske papirmøller, identifiserte vi 31 helt åpenbart forfalskede artikler publisert i dette tidsskriftet. De tilhører en gruppe av artikler som ble avslørt pga forfalskede Western immunoblot, hvor bakgrunnen var kopiert. Alle disse artiklene ble rapportert i PubPeer, hvor forfatterne alltid får en mulighet til å forklare seg. Ingen forfattere ga tilbakemelding. Forlagshuset har riktignok trukket mange av artiklene, men fremdeles er flere av disse artiklene ikke trukket.

Jeg vil anbefale at Brazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research ikke lenger blir listet som et kategori 0 eller 1 tidsskrift.
