What is an academic publication channel?

  • An academic publication channel is journals, series and publishers approved at level 1 or level 2 in the Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals, Series and Publishers.

Level 0 – not approved

  • The publication channel is not recognized as an academic publication channel because one or more of the criteria are not fulfilled or documented.

Rules for changes in level

  • New suggestions to publication channels that we do not approve will get level 0 immediately.
  • If the publication channel is downgraded from level 1 to level 0 will level 0 apply from next year.

If a publication channel is downgraded from level 1 to level 0 at the decision meeting in January 2025, level 0 will apply from 2026.
