Login to commentI 2020 ble det publisert en redaksjonell artikkel i European Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology and
Reproductive Biology, hvor data integritet i 35 randomiserte kontrollforsøk relatert til kvinnehelse.
En rekke artikler fra to forskningsgrupper fra samme forskningsinstitusjon i Egypt ble funnet å inneholde alvorlige data integritetsproblemer. Flere av disse artiklene er publisert i Acta Obst. Gynecol. Scand.
Flere av de andre artiklene som ble identifisert som problematiske i denne undersøkelsen, har blitt trukket av andre tidsskrifter. Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand har valgt å publisere en "Editorial note", som har blitt stående siden 2021. Artiklene blir fortsatt sitert.

Bekymringen gjaldt alvorlige data integritsproblemer i en artikkel publisert i Acta Obstet GYnecol Scand (Ashoush, S et al., Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand, 2017; https://doi.org/10.1111/aogs.13236 ).
Det ble oppfordret til å undersøke orginaldata og frigi disse.
Orginaldata ble ikke presentert og bekymringsmeldingen ble ikke tatt til følge av.
I ettertid ble artikkelen tatt med i en systematisk oversikt i American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology (AJOG) Maternal-Fetal Medicine, hvor konklusjonene fra studien videreformidles.
Det er grunn til å bli bekymret når artikler med åpenbare dataintegritetsproblemer ikke blir fjernet fra
tidsskriftet, og feilinformasjon som kan påvirke helsen til en stor befolkningsgruppe blir videreformidlet.
Jeg kan legge til at sjefsredaktør Ganesh Acharya har publisert hele 45 artikler i Acta Obstet Gynecol Scand.
I perioden 2003-2015: 6 artikler
I perioden 2015-2024: 39 artikler (da han var sjefsredaktør).
Tidsskriftet blir gjennomgått på ny på vedtaksmøtet for nivå 1 med Arbeidsutvalget for Det nasjonale publiseringsutvalget 21.juni.
