I would like to recommend moving the microchemical journal from level 1 to level 2. The journal publishes scientific articles that are of high quality and are scrutinized by peer reviewers. Furthermore, the journal welcomes work from a broad spectrum of fields of chemistry and materials technology, proving to be a highly multidisciplinary journal. Finally, it is a journal with high international evaluation parameters including IF 5.304, high score 8.6. the ranking on the basis of the journal's impact factor places it in the first quartile for the CHEMISTRY, ANALYTICAL sector (17/87). in the same way, the ranking based on the ournal Citation Indicator (JCI) sees the Microchemical journal placing itself in the first quartile for the CHEMISTRY, ANALYTICAL sector (13/99).
The journal is internationally regarded as one of the leading journals for the field of materials chemistry and technology and therefore is among the first choices of many researchers for the publication of their work.

I en analyse av innhold av frasen " No data was used for the research described in the article", scorer dette tidsskriftet høyt. Hele 101 artikler ble identifisert for å inneholde denne frasen i Data availability statement. Alle artiklene er publisert i 2022 og de fleste har tilhørighet til Kina.

Denne uvanlige og selvmotsigende frasen (de identifiserte artiklene er i all hovedsak orginalartikler som inneholder data), og det store antallet artikler på kort tid, er mistenkelig og tyder på publisering av masseproduserte meningsløse artikler uten vitenskapelig innhold.

Dette viser at tidsskriftet mangler den nødvendige kvalitetskontrollen for å drive et seriøst tidsskrift. Videre bryter de med prinsippet om åpenhet og at data skal være tilgjengelig.
