Hei,
I am writing to you to suggest the following:
1. TRE articles are mostly related to Industrial Engineering and/or business management fields. Some TRE articles relate to Civil Engineering, like on transport infrastructure (i.e., roads), but the vast majority of the publications are concerned with planning, design, and optimization.
2. My article on TRE is one of my best research works (if not the best!) with three major contributions. I had to work with three reviewers back and forth for several rounds, which took nearly a year. I have no doubts that the journal should be upgraded to Level 2.
Hi, I have two concerns regarding this journal. First, I believe that this journal is not categorized appropriately as it hardly relates to the field of civil engineering; indeed, it is a logistics and supply chain related journal! Second, it's a pity that a good journal like TRE with great impact in the field of business and finance has been downgraded to level 1. I have two suggestions:
1- Moving TRE from Civil Engineering field to Business and Finance or Industrial Engineering and Management. My argument is similar to the basis for selecting the field for journals like: Journal of Business Logistics, Journal of Supply Chain Management, and Journal of Operations Management and many more.
2- Upgrading its level from 1 to 2. I've checked Scopus and believe that TRE very much fits with the following fact: "publikasjonskanalene på nivå 2 i hvert fagfelt stå for 20% av det som publiseres av fagfellevurderte vitenskapelige artikler i fagfeltet." Kind regards, Hossein Baharmand (UiA)

TRE is called Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review. It clearly belongs in our domain Here is its home page with its scope https://www.journals.elsevier.com/transportation-research-part-e-logistics-and-transportation-review/
Of course others can publish in these journals, but there is no doubt where they belong. Again, the very fact that they are at Level 1 shows they are in the wrong place in this game. It should belongs to NRØA (ØkAdm)
The committee for the scientific field Industrial Engineering and Management/IndØk has taken your suggestion into consideration and nominated TRE for level 2 from 2019. Since the IndØk field can maximum have three journals on level 2, this means that Computers in Industry will be reduced to level 1.
See comment above.
In 2016, the journal has impact factor 2.974 with CiteScore of 3.68. This journal should be considered for Norwegian Level 2.
