I believe this journal should be moved up to Level 2. It is a British history journal based in the USA, published by Cambridge University Press. The editorial board is excellent, it is a broad-based journal that publishes on aspects of British history and culture, and it is difficult to get an article accepted after double-blind peer review. It is an international journal with a very good reputation. There are not many history journals focussing on British history ranked at level 2 in the Norwegian system and I think this needs to be addressed. As a historian of modern Britain I struggle to find level 2 publication channels beyond the very broad traditional journals like English Historical Review, which are exceptionally difficult to get a paper accepted with. I believe there should be some others at level 2 as well, especially when there are a range of journals of the same repetitional standard globally in other history sub-disciplines/ fields/ areas at level 2.
