Jeg vil understreke at analysen som ble gjennomført, kun var en rask og overfladisk undersøkelse som var basert på rask identifisering av åpenbare feil i figurer (kombinasjon av automatisk deteksjon av duplikasjoner vha ImageTwin og rask manuell gjennomgang for deteksjon av duplikasjoner og åpenbare feil). Jeg vil derfor anta at det vil være langt flere problematiske forhold i de undersøkte artiklene som ikke ble fanget opp.
Flere av de problematiske artiklene som ble identifisert, viser åpenbare feil i hvordan eksperimenter er gjennomført, med metoder (flow cytometriske analyser) som er svært mye brukt innen biomedisinsk forskning. At disse åpenbare feilene ikke blir fanget opp gjennom peer-review og redaksjonell kontroll, viser hvor useriøst dette tidsskriftet er.
Vi følger opp tidsskriftet på vedtaksmøtet for nivå 1 i juni.
