Login to commentVi har kommet over noe vi mener må være en feil i registeret over vitenskapelige publiseringskanaler i forbindelse med publisering av en artikkel. Tidsskriftet "Journal of Computational Physics" har nivåplassering 2, men tidsskriftet "Journal of Computational Physics: X", som er et "open access mirror" for førstnevnte, har nivåplassering 1. De to tidsskriftene er altså i praksis ett tidsskrift, hvor "open access"-artikler blir publisert under navnet "Journal of Computational Physics: X". Den eneste grunnen til at vår artikkel ble publisert i "Journal of Computational Physics: X" er at vi selv ba om "open access"-publisering ved innsending av manuskriptet.
Tidsskriftet skriver på sin hjemmeside: "Journal of Computational Physics has an open access mirror journal Journal of Computational Physics: X, sharing the same aims and scope, editorial team, submission system and rigorous peer review."

kun med forskjell i om det er åpen tilgang eller ikke. Åpen tilgang eller ikke er i seg selv ikke et kvalitetskriteriet.
Ut fra det som beskrives: de bør være på samme nivå. Støtter at J Comp Physics X også skal være på nivå 2; og så får vi eventuelt vurdere begge ved seinere korsveier.
Det fremstår som urimelig å ikke ha Journal of Computational Physics: X ikke er likestilt med Journal of COmputational Physics - det nye tidskriftet er "open access" varianten av det gamle og det sies at
Journal of Computational Physics and Journal of Computational Physics: X have the same aims and scope. A unified editorial team manages rigorous peer-review for both titles using the same submission system. The author's choice of journal is blinded to referees, ensuring the editorial process is identical.
